Founded in December 2001 in CEO John Riley's garage, Trigger Direct has quickly
grown to become a successful and expanding direct marketing company that serves
many Fortune 1000 companies win and retain customers with innovative direct marketing
campaigns. John envisioned that Trigger Direct be different than other direct marketing
agencies. He wanted to focus on a handful of specific niches in direct marketing
and work to dominate them.

After launching a new homeowner marketing campaign for a major retailer that averaged
an ROI of $16 in revenue for every $1 spent, we knew we were on to something. This
was a campaign that only mailed a small quantity of mail pieces (around 800 per
week), yet it consistently drove in close to $600,000 in revenue per year. Why did
it work so successfully? Because these mailings targeted consumers right after they
had a major life changing event, such as buying a new home, this event was a "trigger"
that the new homeowners were highly likely to spend large quantities of money on
targeted products. This type of campaign benefits everyone involved, the marketer,
the recipient and Trigger Direct. This success began a relentless and on-going pursuit
